A necessary addition to any Back to The Future fans collection. I thought I knew everything there was to know about every aspect of BTTF until I got this book. A fascinating look at every piece of memorabilia under the sun from one of the most beloved movies of all time. Definitely recommend to pick one up!

From one professional to another, I have to be honest, this is a great coffee table book that belongs in the home of every Back To The Future fanatic. The photography along with the print of the pages is outstanding. As one of the very first costumers to get this right off the manufacturing line, I am deeply impressed. The book goes into full detail of the memorabilia from start to finish. It's got everything from the less popular posters to the weird and exotic Delorean hat that is exclusively from Japan!! The only complaints that the fans may have would be a couple of misleading details such as stating that the Delorean that was set on the tracks for the weregoingback.com event was not a replica, but one of the real on-screen cars. I know this for a fact because I was there, the owners were there and the owners clearly stated that it was the real thing. Other than that, this book has everything a die-hard BTTF fan would want!!

As is usually the case with Henley, I found this book to be compelling and intriguing. This author has a real talent for reeling me in and keeping my attention. However, as is the case with "Enticed", I don't think her publishers did her any favors by reprinting this 1989 novel. The heroines in her earlier books are typically willfull, spoiled little brats you can't stand reading about.
The heroine of "The Falcon and the Flower" downright got on my nerves for over 2/3 of this book...no, more like 4/5 of this book. I think Ms. Virginia was trying to make her seem feisty, but she came off vastly different. She was an icy, mean, spoiled little girl I couldn't stand.
The heroine got on my nerves so bad that at one point I was actually routing for the hero's ex-mistress to win him back. I have never wished that on any other heroine I've read to date...that's tantamount to watching "Jaws" and routing for the shark.
Another thing that disturbed me about this book was that there were a couple of scenes in which the hero slapped the heroine. Unfortunately, I disliked her so much that I didn't care...then I felt guilty about that since I consider myself a feminist and abhor violence against women!
If you are a major Henley fan, you will probably enjoy this book at least somewhat. The book, with all its faults, was still quite engaging. As long as you go into this knowing what to expect, it probably won't be so bad. And as your reading, don't be surprised if you hear the theme song to "Jaws" playing in the background of your mind...

WORST!! WANT MY MONEY BACK!!

The Flower: ok so I can understand how she became a spoiled little annoying girl but after a while you just got to ask: is she ever going to learn and try something else? She's a stupid, spoiled, and stubborn girl. That's all. Over and over it's the same thing, she doesn't try anything new, even for better or worse when he does something so horrible to her (read further).

The Falcon: Hate him. As other reviewers have put: he hits her, and once at the very end when you're just, "oh come on! haven't you changed YET?!" He's also a pig, who thinks one thing so sadly and understandably that you think that he's finally caught on and might change, but nope! HUGE SPOILER ALERT!!!!: he rapes her. And the FIRST time "I guess" I can understand his reasoning but then he does it again... and again, and again. And this isn't like other books (which are still sick) where the woman says no and tries to resist, but his skills and fire sooo ignite her to hott hott sex. NOPE!! She pleads and cries for him to stop, when she realizes he won't she freezes and makes her mind go away, somewhere far away, other than there. It's nothing more than rape! Several rapes! Each time after he's either angry (at her!) or feels bad, and when he feels bad that quickly turns to lust 10 pages later when he continues his raping or fondling of her as she pleads for him to stop.

Over all, this is a looong book where we get a lot of pages where they fight, yell, and say mean things, plus him and his lust, but then BAM!! LUST!!! and after one night over sex (of 3) she's telling him she loves him. Nowhere before that is there any hidden message that she's holding back and does like him. I mean, she stares at his chest a few times, but ladies... that's the only connection I can find before she's sprouting I love you to him... and after he hits and rapes her!! Classic Stockholm syndrome!!!

I wish I can get my $8 back and have the publishers pay me for my wasted time.

Both characters disgust me. THIS IS NOT A ROMANCE!! I wish other reviews had warned me of the rapes and not just the hitting (which I can explain away by the time period) so I hope others find this review helpful.

Very good, but a bit aggravating

I have read several Henley books. I loved The Marriage Prize. As with that book, this one contained wonderful, fascinating historical facts and a story that I couldn't put down. My only complaint was that Jasmine was so unlikeable. As another reviewer said, she was a spoiled brat and I had very little sympathy for her. If you can put up with a herione like that, the book was well-written and the story comes to a satisfying ending.

Great basic marketing text at a great price!

I use this textbook to teach about 1,500 students per year in my courses. I find the book to be well-written and interesting. More importantly, *many* students tell me that enjoy reading the book. (I can tell you that it is rare to have students providing positive feedback on textbooks that are required reading). Armstrong and Kotler are leaders in the field, and their hardcover book holds the largest market share among U.S. universities. Books don't make it to the 10th edition (or 5th for paperback) w/o being good!

lots of info, but not an easy read

This book says it is an introduction to marketing but it seems very comprehensive. I am more than halfway through the book and have found this book difficult to read. The author goes to great lengths to describe in very non-specific terms concepts that are not that complex and seems overly wordy IMHO. Also this is a large softcover book, therefore it is very floppy and does not lay easily on your lap or holding it in your hands. If you don't have a desk or table to set this on, you will battle this book while reading it.

CHAPTERS MISSING!!!!!

I was perfectly happy until I realized that the pages jump from 212 to 261!!! I missing parts of Chapter 7, all of Chapter 8, and a part of Chapter 9. I don't have time to send it back and all that jazz. I will not be purchasing from this person again. This was an important text for me.

15 wonderful Christmas stocking projects

I LOVE CHRISTMAS! This book gives me 15 reasons to celebrate the season. There are dogs, cats, snowmen, forest animals, Christmas globes, Santas, sledding, Vintage, toys, Noah's ark, bears and, of course, the Nativity for the themes.

Each pattern is two pages so seeing the counted cross stitch graph is not too hard. A color photo accompanies each project. All you have to do to get the template for the stocking itself is enlarge one of the color photos 169%. A copy store can help with this. There are two pages of general instruction that show what the symbols mean and they also explain how to create each stitch.

My only problem was I didn't know which one to start with. Hopefully, you will be able to choose one! My needle and I will be working into the night on these wonderful projects.

Lovely book for cross stitch Xmas stockings

This cross stitch book is very nice and has easy to understand color instructions. My only disappointment is that since I could not see inside at all the available patterns to make, this book did not have what I personally was looking for. There are mostly snowy winter scenes; not quite appropriate for a child's Christmas stocking in sunny CA where the winter is only about 50 degrees, and snow an extreme rarity! This in no way should deter you from a purchase, as the designs are very beautiful, and the print is large enough to use during your project. Some very nice teen or adult patterns in here also.
